How far away should a placing pole be from a jump? - pole jump biomechanics
How far must be placed at one pole of a jump, as he rode?
My book (Manual Horse Manship) says 18ft, but a friend told me it was 12 meters,,,,
Any suggestions on this?

Step depends on your horse and jump height. Suppose that a jump of 3 meters and an average walk in 12 steps, should the rod about 9 feet from the base to be placed directly. A good rule is to leave the country, but many feet before the jump as the jump is high (eg, about 3 meters, 3 meters) in front of him. They are marketing to the pole to his horse to allow him to leap in the right away, without much interference from you if you want the rod in two final step before taking split-off. Thus, from 6 m for the second half of the last step, more than 3 m to 9 m = off Again depends on the stage of his horse, however. Shorten or lengthen it seems as if it is full, or long range, but it is a good place to start.
ReplyDeleteWell, if the poles are placed, I have put away in the city for about 12 meters, but with a pony ... So, usually about 15-18 feet of horses.
ReplyDeleteHope this helps! :]

That depends, because the stage is 3 feet of horses, so basically anything that's going for 3rd

ReplyDeleteGo 9 feet. That's what I'm doing with the horse of my hand 15 steps can be very long. My coach told me to do so. ;-)
ReplyDeleteIf you believe that a baseline, the same distance as the height of the jump to.
ReplyDeleteA placement pole is positioned so that the pole is a half step away from jumping on the supply of horses galloping round to encourage and make cleaning. If you are in a pony would jump 12-14 feet from the base of too. In a large 18ft horse walked up and wouldnt be out of line. I'm usually off advanced 3.5 points to take and put his stick on the end of my time the last boot. It works for most average size horses. My time is about one meter or 3 '.
regardless of what size is the best horse that I think the track is located 8 to giant steps! lol .. I can not be converted to meters or whatever, but a world-class runner who had a show in Millstreet, once informed that this distance is the safest, because the horse takes a step further and encouraged to be a big jump!

1-2 stages.
ReplyDeleteEither would be good, depends on you and your horse of choice.
ReplyDeleteWe must take into account the distance takeoff and landing.
You can also use the speed of horses, though in a demonstration of the poles do not agree with their horses pace, so it is good, many different ways and stride practice.
I went to go see my friends lesson and had two jumps (7 meters) and repeatedly jumped up. They had received up to 6, 7 and / or 8 steps between the jumps.
probably 15 "(334cm) to intensify their horses is about 12 feet (243cm) and when the will takes about 3 (91cm) feet. but I would say three feet at the same time answer the last question, if you want you can have a 12 "set of the 3-meter pole.
